How do I find Mahogany’s show homes?
Currently there are 30 show homes open in Mahogany, with condos, townhomes, and single family homes at varying price ranges available for purchase. Visit our Show Homes page for a current list, including maps, hours and price ranges.
Questions About the Mahogany Homeowners Association (HOA)
What is the Mahogany Homeowners Association, and what are its annual fees?
The Mahogany Homeowners Association will oversee the preservation of the community, in addition to hosting year-round events and programs. This organization will become the legal owner of certain community amenities, together with the lands upon which such amenities are located.

Questions About Mahogany’s Lake & Amenities
Is Mahogany Lake ready for use?
Yes! The first part of Mahogany's interconnected lake was open for winter use (skating and hockey) in 2009, and in 2010 residents enjoyed their first summer of swimming and boating on Mahogany Lake. Mahogany's West Beach also opened in summer 2010 and features a sandy beach, play equipment, beach volleyball courts and more. Mahogany Lake reached full completion, in conjunction with the opening of the Mahogany Beach Club, in 2015.
Is Mahogany Lake stocked with fish?
Yes, the lake has been stocked with Rainbow Trout. Ice fishing, a fishing derby and educational fishing programs for residents started in the 2015/2016 winter season and will reoccur annually. For safety, there will be a designated fishing area that will be separated from other lake activity areas.
What kind of activities will the lake support?
The lake will be large and deep enough to support all but motorized boating pursuits, as well as swimming, paddling, floating and wading in shallower areas. Motorized watercraft will not be permitted on Mahogany Lake.
What Regional Amenities is Mahogany Near?
There are five renowned courses within 15 minutes of the community. Movie theatres, Spruce Meadows, and highway access to mountain escapes are also just a short and direct drive away.
Numerous national retailers, big-box outlets, specialty shops and professional services are also mere minutes away.
Just 10 minutes away is Fish Creek Provincial Park, one of North America’s largest urban parks, offering more than 3,300 acres of natural beauty and 80 kilometres of pathways.
The Rotary/Mattamy Greenway - a one-of-a-kind infrastructure not seen anywhere else in the world - gives you the opportunity to walk, ride, roll, or stroll through nearly 1000 km of pathways around the city of Calgary, starting in your own neighbourhood at Mahogany.

Is the new South Health Campus hospital open?
Yes! Mahogany is less than 10 minutes from the new South Health Campus. This groundbreaking wellness facility features a 24-hour emergency department, an intensive care unit and day surgery units, plus a comprehensive range of wellness programs, including a YMCA Wellness Centre. Visit the South Health Campus to learn more about Alberta’s largest and most advanced healthcare centre.
Is there noise coming from the Emergency Power Generator building located on the northeast corner of the South Health Campus?
When computer modeling was conducted, the exterior noise produced by the generators measured less than 40 decibels at the closest residence. There should be no impact detectable by those living in Mahogany.

Yes. There is a 10-acre off-leash dog park adjacent to Mahogany near the entrance off of 52nd Street SE.

Is Mahogany accessible via public transportation?
Questions About Resource Facilities
Are there resource facilities in the Mahogany vicinity?
Yes. The following information is intended to clarify issues and questions regarding resource facilities and emergency planning which directly affect some Mahogany residents.
In general, resource facilities are those land use elements which operate in connection with exploration and drilling for natural gas liquids through pipelines to the marketplace, together with all other equipment incidental to these operations.
It is important to note that there are no resource facilities (gas wells or pipelines) existing within Mahogany. Residents in Mahogany are at no greater risk than residents in other south east communities, but Mahogany’s proximity places some phases within an area referred to as an Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ). Emergency Planning Zones are just that - an extra level of planning in case of an emergency. The potential for different types of emergency situations exists in every community, regardless of their relative proximity to resource facilities.
