April 26th saw the official unveil of the Mahogany Beach Club and Central Beach Site in an exclusive residents’ event at Mahogany info centre. From 1-4 p.m., Hopewell chatted with residents about the Beach Club, sharing information on what it will look like, where it will be, and what the space will offer when it’s complete.
For those of you who haven’t heard about this exciting new gathering space, the Mahogany Beach Club will be a focal point in the community, at 22,000 sq. ft. just steps from the water. Slated for completion in 2015, the Beach Club will house the Homeowners Association’s permanent office, and will offer community events; educational and recreational programs; an HOA Keep Fit Program; drop-in gym and tot time; member parties; and much more. Outside, the beachfront building will offer swimming; boating; paddleboarding; fishing; beach volleyball; basketball; skating; picnics; community events; barbecuing; sports; and fitness programs.
The Mahogany Beach Club event was a great success, with dozens of curious residents turning out to enjoy refreshments and see what Hopewell is working on to make Calgary’s two-time Community of the Year an even greater place to live.

Mahogany is Calgary's Community of the Year!
Mahogany is Calgary’s premier lake community, and for the second year in a row, it’s Calgary’s Community of the Year as well! Hopewell Residential is thrilled to announce Mahogany as a multiple award winner at the 2013 CHBA-Calgary Region SAM Awards. Mahogany took top honours for Community of the Year, and also won Show Home Parade of the Year for its stunning Lakefront show home parade.
In addition, Hopewell Residential won the Janine Coughlin Marketing Campaign of the Year award for its Mahogany Lakefront marketing campaign, while Hopewell Residential won Sales Team of the Year for its Mahogany sales team. These wins truly illustrate Hopewell’s mission of designing and building communities and homes which provide happiness, pride, security and value for customers.
The Hopewell team thanks our talented Mahogany builder group for their dedication to building incredible homes in our award-winning community. Calbridge Homes and Morrison Homes, which comprise our Lakefront show home parade, were each finalists and winners in their own rights at the 2013 SAMs, with Morrison winning Best New Home - $1,000,000-$1,499,999 for its Mahogany Savannah show home, along with the coveted Grand SAM award for Builder of the Year.
